INTEGRATE: Building our foundation. As health professionals, we must continually submerse ourselves in learning. We must develop our skills, refresh our paradigms and evaluate the emerging scientific evidence as a continued part of our practice. This pillar represents the internal determination to pursue knowledge and develop skills in order to improve our ability to lead an informed practice and offer exceptional client-care. The learning process is continual, and we must integrate new information, beliefs and skills to continue our growth as professionals and as a profession.
COLLABORATE: Reshaping our approach. By remaining open to change, sharing ideas with colleagues, mentorship, reflection, and a team-based approach, we continually advance our practice. Working with colleagues within our communities allows a wider scope of care, a reduced risk of bias and continued personal and professional growth. Our clinician mentorship programs offer a virtual approach to professional development, allowing all physiotherapists—regardless of location, resources, or available services—the opportunity to grow. The result is increased engagement, expertise, and evidence informed practice.
